About Respond and Rescue Safety Training
Respond and Rescue is a CPR and safety training company based in Alexandria, Virginia. We've been teaching since 2015, running American Red Cross and HSI classes for healthcare workers, childcare providers, teachers, coaches, parents and anyone whose job asks for a card.
Our public classes are Red Cross blended courses. You do the online part at your own pace, then come in for a hands-on skills session with an instructor. Skills sessions run about two hours, your digital certificate arrives the next day, and it's valid for two years.
Not sure which class you need? Nurses, dental teams, EMS and other healthcare staff usually need BLS. Daycare and school staff usually need Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED. Most workplaces, gyms and coaches need Adult First Aid/CPR/AED. Still unsure? Call or email us and we'll point you to the right course before you book. Plans change? You can reschedule up to 48 hours before class.

Where we teach
We have three locations: our classroom at 85 S Bragg St in Alexandria, Mason Enterprise Center in Fairfax, and the GW University Student Center in Foggy Bottom, DC. Classes run on weekdays, weekday evenings and Saturdays. Class sizes are small, so everyone gets real practice time on the manikins.
On-site group training
We also come to you. We run on-site CPR, First Aid and BLS training for offices, dental practices, daycares, schools, hotels and construction companies across DC, Maryland and Virginia. Groups start at six people. We can add Bloodborne Pathogens or Stop the Bleed to the same visit, and we invoice companies directly.
We're a small, minority-owned business, and we rank in the top 10% of HSI Training Centers nationally. Most classes are $96. Returning students get $10 off, and so do military, veterans and first responders.
